The Mojave Desert is a national treasure. At Mountain's Edge we embrace what is beautiful about the desert rather than altering it to fit typical notions of community landscape design. The lush desert landscaping at Mountain's Edge provides a strong visual impact even as it conserves the desert's most valuable resource: water. It is estimated that the landscape plan at Mountain's Edge will save over 200 million gallons of water annually versus traditional grass sod landscaping. Homeowners can view plant and design ideas for their own desert-smart landscaping throughout the Mountain's Edge master plan and in the Desert Demonstration Garden.
In addition to offering new and exciting approaches to desert landscaping, the master planner of Mountain's Edge is dedicated to preserving the desert's native landscape as well. In fact, Exploration Peak has been re-vegetated with nearly 10,000 native yucca and creosote plants. Additionally, the homeowners association has adopted CCRs to protect the enivornment, saving money on utiliy bills for homeowners and natural resources for us all.
