Creating a master planned community means much more than designing and planning neighborhoods, parks and infrastructure. It means truly "building community" by lending a hand to fill gaps in the short-term needs of the many great organizations in our valley that provide assistance to those who need it most, and striving to find long-term solutions to social challenges.
In addition to its environmental goals, Mountains Edge also lends a hand whenever possible to many worthy non-profits in our Las Vegas community. Mountains Edge has adopted several social causes and community partners, establishing a philanthropic spirit that we hope grows with each generation.
During it's development, Mountains Edge formed a relationship with the Boy Scouts of America, Las Vegas Area Council with the creation of the Mountains Edge Explorers Post No. 26. The Post is a career-based program created for male and female students ranging from the ages of 14 - 20 years of age to expose them to career fields in residential development and to help them gain experience and develop contacts and relationships in the industry.
Mountains Edge enlisted these youth to assist in the development of the three trails that ascend Exploration Peak. The trails help hikers of all ages and skill levels ascend to the top of the mountain where they can enjoy sweeping vistas of the surrounding valley. The Mountains Edge Explorers Post mapped out these trails under the supervision of a team of experienced mentors.
Annually, Mountain's Edge serves as the host for several non-profit organizations as they conduct charity runs, walks and community events to increase awareness and raise much-needed funding. Our long-standing partners include Candlelights Childhood Cancer Foundation, the American Heart Association and the Nevada SPCA.
